Dear HealthierHere Community and Partners,
As a new year begins, so does a new chapter for HealthierHere.
I am very pleased to announce that on January 1, we achieved our longstanding goal of becoming an independent 501c3 non-profit organization. Reaching this milestone is both a reflection of our growth and an investment in our future.
Poignantly, it also means an end to the fiscal sponsorship that The Seattle Foundation has graciously provided to HealthierHere since our inception. I want to extend my deep appreciation and profound gratitude for the partnership that they have extended to us at so many levels. Their support and belief in HealthierHere, our values and our work over the years has been instrumental in allowing us to grow and make a meaningful impact in our community.
I also want to give a shout-out to our board and to the members of our HealthierHere team who worked tirelessly to achieve this milestone. Making the transition has been a complex, multi-year process.
Finally, I want to thank all of HealthierHere’s partners and community members for being an integral part of our journey – we wouldn’t be here without you. I am excited to continue working together in 2025 and beyond to serve the people of King County and build healthy, more equitable, and thriving communities.
In partnership,
John Kim
CEO, HealthierHere
