Health and Wellbeing for All

HealthierHere is a nonprofit collaborative dedicated to advancing health equity in King County, WA through collective action. We are committed to building and strengthening an integrated, equitable system of whole-person care that works better for everyone.

HealthierHere serves as the Accountable Community of Health (ACH) for King County. We harness the power of collaboration, convening an engaged regional network of more than 150 organizations. We foster cross-sector partnerships to co-create community and Tribal-driven solutions to complex challenges. We align and braid public and private funding to drive resources to the people and places that need it most.

Who We Serve

We’re dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of people who experience inequity and racism in our health and social systems through community- and Tribal-driven solutions that respect and reflect their needs, lived experiences and cultures.

Through our partnerships and collaborations, some of the communities we engage and serve include Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), immigrants and refugees, people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ folx, people who are living low-income, homeless/unhoused, uninsured and underinsured, and/or who are multilingual or speak English as a second language.

HealthierHere leads with equity. We work to eliminate disparities in health and well-being and address the current power dynamic and structural racism in our health care system.

Community

We ensure community members have what they need to engage effectively and develop formal, ongoing feedback processes for those making decisions to respond to and take action on consumer/community recommendations.

Partnership

We take a multi-sector, multi-pronged approach to make systemic change at the local, state, and federal levels. No one participant or sector controls the direction, agenda, and decision-making.

Results

HealthierHere works to improve health outcomes across King County, with a particular focus on health equity and prioritizing resources and efforts toward those most marginalized, and implementing strategies that can scale for broader population health impact.

We are committed to fundamental system transformation, prioritizing strategies that improve health care delivery and address population health, prevention, and the social determinants of health.

Our Goals

Improve access to integrated, whole-person care

People in the region have access to integrated physical, behavioral, and oral health in a whole person system of care.

Build and strengthen community and clinical partnerships

Strong linkages exist between the health care delivery system and community resources to address social determinants of health.

Promote health equity for all, by all

People in the region have equitable access to culturally and linguistically responsive care within a system that promotes and practices anti-racism.

Advance community & tribal-driven health solutions.

Populations most impacted by health inequities play a substantive role in HealthierHere’s work and are valued for their expertise.
