Update 2/18/20 - The results are in! The Washington Health Care Authority has posted a summary of the 2019 Paying for Value survey results and key takeaways. View the findings here.
Calling all health care provider organizations! The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) is seeking input via their annual paying for value survey.
The survey is live and closes on August 30. HCA and HealthierHere encourage a variety of providers to participate. This includes hospitals, health systems, clinics, tribal health care, and behavioral health care, and others. HCA seeks one response per organization.
The survey is designed to be filled out by an administrative leader, with consultation from clinicians as necessary, and should take no more than 30-45 minutes to complete.
This survey will provide valuable insights into the challenges organizations face as they consider adopting new payment arrangements, and it will help guide HCA's efforts to support the health care provider community. Additionally, this input helps track progress and guide strategic direction toward our statewide goal of paying for value-based care, rather than paying for volume of care. In a value-based system, payments are based on the health outcomes people experience, rather than paying for each medical transaction.
