What are you most looking forward to working with HealthierHere and our partners?

I am excited for the opportunity to work with leaders, partners and neighbors who lead for urgency, fairness, equity, and social justice to ensure that everyone will have access to resources and advancement.

What drives your passion for this work?

Be in community. Working with others to ensure that our neighbors and their families don’t lose hope and see a window of opportunity. It’s critical that challenges such as distance, language, racism, and established systems and policies don’t determine their opportunities for survival and advancement.

What is something about you that others might not know?

Those who know me, said that I am an excellent cook and baker. I love sharing meals, experiences, and recipes.  I am an active volunteer at a community learning garden where 60% of our vegetables and fruits are shared with our neighbors through a food bank.

With a group of leaders, I coordinated health fairs with the intention to provide preventative screenings, connection and navigation to health and social resources.

I love using emojis and gif messages 😊
