What are you most looking forward to working with HealthierHere and our partners?

I’m most excited about deepening our relationships with community members and community partners. I believe that the people who are most impacted by a health equity issue have the most valuable insights into how systems should change to better meet their needs, and I look forward to amplifying their voices, perspectives, and solutions through HealthierHere’s work.

What drives your passion for this work?

I feel passionately that health equity should be at the center of every policy, procedure, initiative, and conversation that occurs in health care systems. I’ve seen how social determinants of health have as large an impact on health outcomes as a diagnosis does, and am happy to be part of an organization that focuses on the whole health of individuals and communities.

What is something about you that others might not know? 

I’m an avid scuba diver and spend as much time as I can underwater with my adult daughter, husband, and sharks.
